雨的第20章 - Do They Know It's Christmas?

Feed the world, let them know it's Christmas time~

It's the most wonderful time of the year 

There'll be much mistltoeing 

And hearts will be glowing 

When love ones are near 

It's the most wonderful time of the year

Needless to say, it's Christmas time, 

the most wonderful time of the year. 

How do you spend your Christmas? 

Having a Christmas feast with family? 

Went shopping with friends? 

Dating your love one? 

Anyway, I wish you a merry merry Christmas.

Apparently one of the most frequently-asked-question is, 

what is the true meaning of Christmas? 

Is it the presents under the tree? 

Is it the turkey in the feast? 

Some say it's sharing, some say it's caring, some say it's loving. 

Some say it's Jesus, some say all of the above. 

Well, since I'm not really a Christian, 

I will not give an exact answer to this question. 

I am an atheist, 

I am not going to lecture you with all the religious stuffs, 

But I would like to share something with you, 

something that one should not forget. 

When you are drinking you awesome sparkling wine, 

celebrating the awesome festival,

Let's not forget those,

who don't even have the access of clean drinking water. 

When you are enjoying your glamorous Christmas feast, 

Let's not forget those whose only Christmas wish,

is just a simple, nutritious meal. 

When you are spending money shopping, 

swiping your daddy's credit card like waterfall, 

There are actually some people, surviving, 

by spending less than 1USD per day.

When you are sitting on your comfortable couch,

watching TV like a boss,

Somewhere else in this world, 

there are people who don't even have a proper shelter.

When you are complaining that you have assignments,

too many exams, lack of sleep,

Remember that there are some children,

who don't even have the opportunity to be educated.

When you are suiting up, making up, 

attending some elegant Christmas event. 

Remember, there are some people 

who don't even know it's Christmas.

I am proud to say that, yesterday,

I did my most valuable spending in my life.

Well, let's call it an 'investment'.

You will never know that where this money will end up to be.

It may become a brick in the wall of a school.

It may buy a needy family a nutritive meal.

It may turn into a staircase that lead someone to his dream.

Who knows?

A Christmas gift may cost you 20 bucks.

A seat in a feast may cost you 50.

But a smile of joy on the face of children, is priceless.

When you are having the most wonderful time of the year, 

let's not forget those less fortunate one.

Just for once in a year,


instead of spending them on cloths and shoes,

why don't you spend your money wisely,

give them a value,

invest them properly.

You can, make a difference.

There is such a saying:

"No one can help everyone,

but everyone can help someone."
